Defective Ballcock in Attic Tank leads to internal Water Damage.
We received a call from one of the Letting Agents we deal with who reported dampness to the internal walls of a property in Dalkeith that they manage it had came to the end of a tenancy and the property could not be re let due to the dampness causing loss of rent to the Landlord.
We reacted quickly visiting the same day and we established a defective external pipe was the cause of the water damage we got our report and price in the same day and got the go ahead.
Our team were out the next day we quickly replaced the defective float in the water tank in the roof we installed our industrial de humidifiers to dry out the building fabric running them for 3 days.
We removed 6 full buckets of water from the building fabric and damp areas of the house we then removed the mould using our specialist mould removal equipment and treated the affected areas with an anti mouldicide treatment we completed the job within 4 days and the property was rented shortly after we completed our works.
We understand the need for a quick response when rented properties are involved as an empty property is losing the Landlord money we work closely with many Letting Agents and as we cover all trades we can move quickly to coordinate multiple trades to deliver an efficient service and keep it to an economical budget.
