Conversion of Basement and Sub Basement to form new office space Dublin Street Edinburgh
We were appointed to undertake Specialist waterproofing works to a Basement and A Sub Basement in Dublin Street Edinburgh the project was to convert an old disused derelict building into multiple high specification Office Space the project for us had to be completed to maintain ahead of the Main Contractor who was on a tight timescale to complete the works.
We worked 7 days per week for 6 weeks to complete the project working hand in hand with the Main contractor to ensure the new floating timber floors were tied into the cavity membranes we installed to all the walls that were below ground level.
The new areas of which we installed the cavity membranes were being either framed or dot dabbed to a plaster finish by the main contractor so these areas had to be fitted with thousands of waterproof fixings in order to meet the requirements of the MC.
We also dealt with areas in the buildings affected by woodworm and wet rot the project was completed on time and on Budget to the satisfaction of the Main Contractor and the project Management team at Kingsford Estates. Kingsford Estates
We utilized Newlathe from John Newton and Co and we have since incorperated Newlathe for all Damp Proof Course treatments that involve plaster work to be removed and renewed this means the internal wall surfaces once treated and plastered can be decorated very quickly upon completion of our Treatments
