Edinburgh Basement under floor area converted into dry useable storage space

We were contacted by an Edinburgh Property owner to convert her under floor area to the rear of the property into dry useable storage space, the property we undertook these works was located in the Trinity area of the City.

The first issue we had to deal with was the lack of height within the existing under floor area so we lowered the ground level by excavating the earth to a height of 1 metre below what the level previously was.

This had to be done by hand once we found our level we installed the new cavity tanking membranes to walls and floors all sealed together we completed the project by installing decking to the floor and to a shelve area within the new room and we created an access point into the under floor area to the rest of the house.

We plated the ceiling boxed in some pipes and formed decking around the existing steps, we completed the project by making a new door and fitted the door and painted the new timbers in a white finish.

The job from start to completion took 1 week and our client was delighted with the finished job done on time and within budget.
