Damp Proof Course Treatments at Edinburgh Castle.
Our Surveyor was contacted by Serco
To undertake a Survey in the Chapel at Edinburgh castle by Ian Taylor one of the Surveyors at Serco a report and estimate was submitted to install a Damp Proof Course into several areas of the lower solid walls of the Chapel at Edinburgh Castle.
The works involved using special long drill bits as the walls were over 2 feet thick in places the contract proceeded and was supervised by Sercos Management Team.
The works went well and a special mortar was mixed on site to infill the drill holes after the new Damp Proof Course had been Installed and its not every day that you get asked to survey Edinburgh Castle.
