We were asked to survey a traditional farm cottage out at Easter Middleton Gorebridge it had a problem with dampness mould growth and defective plaster in the bathroom.
The walls were very damp and the DPC Was not functioning properly the plaster was falling off the wall and the stonework behind was saturated normal damp proofing plaster would have taken months to dry so we specified to strip the damp plaster install a new DPC Into the exposed walls and install the Newton Cavity Membrane to the walls this allows the internal surface of the property to remain dry whilst the damp walls are drying out.
We framed and plaster boarded the treated walls re fitted the WC And left the job ready for the painter.
